History and Culture: An exhibition dedicated to the Turkish theme in Russian culture of the 1760s-1840s in Moscow

October 11 at the Atrium of the Bread House of the State Museum-Reserve "Tsaritsyno" (Moscow) was opened a large-scale exhibition "Flame and the Negative of the East. Turkish theme in the Russian culture of 1760-1840s"dedicated to the" Turkish style "(Türkri) in Russian art. The exposition presents more than 500 rare exhibits from 25 collections of leading Russian museums, libraries and private collections. A considerable part of the works is demonstrated for the first time.
