History and Culture: The exhibition "Icon Painting of the Armory Chamber from Private Collections" is opened at the Andrei Rublev Museum in Moscow

In the Andrei Rublev Central Museum of Ancient Russian Culture and Art (Moscow) on December 28, 2017, an exhibition, at which selected masterpieces of icon paintings from private collections created by artists of the royal icon-painting workshop in the Armory Chamber is opened. Viewers will see more than 50 icons that give an opportunity to trace the evolution of the style of sovereign isografs from the 1670s to the middle of the XVIII century. Almost all the works are not known not only to the wide audience, but also to specialists, and are exhibited for the first time.
