Society and Culture: Exhibition "Sketches of the Gogol period of Russian literature" is presented in Saratov

January 24, 2018 in the N. G. Chernyshevsky Museum-Estate (Saratov) is opened an exhibition "Essays on the Gogol period of Russian literature". The exhibition is dedicated to Nikolai Vasilyevich Gogol, whom N. G. Chernyshevsky called "the father of Russian prose culture", denoting his work as "Gogol period of Russian literature", which initiated critical realism.
