The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts (Moscow) since February 6, 2018 presents the first exhibition in Russia of the works of one of the inventors of photography William Henry Fox Talbot (1800-1877). The exhibition presents rare photographs that became textbooks for the history of visual culture - about 150 authorial prints and negatives from the collections of the National Museum of Science and Media in Bradford and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London (Great Britain), as well as imaging devices - camera obscura and the camera-lucida - from the collection of the Polytechnic Museum in Moscow. Demonstration of the early samples of British light painting continues a series of museum projects that introduce viewers to the masterpieces of the art of photography.
