The President of Russia: Vladimir Putin will present the 2017 Presidential Prize in Science and Innovations for Young Scientists and will chair a meeting of the Council for Science and Education

On February 7–8, Vladimir Putin will make working trip to Novosibirsk.

The President will visit Akademgorodok [Academic Town], tour the laboratories of the Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics and meet with scientists from the Russian Academy of Sciences’ Siberian Branch.

Vladimir Putin will also present the 2017 Presidential Prize in Science and Innovations for Young Scientists. The prize was established in 2008 and is presented to young researchers and experts for a significant contribution to the development of Russian science and the development of new equipment and technology.

The President will also chair a meeting of the Council for Science and Education to discuss the main objectives and development prospects for science and key areas of international scientific and technical cooperation.
