In the department of regional studies of the Novgorod Regional Universal Scientific Library, the book exhibition "Novgorod magazines of the 1920s. From the history of journalism" is presented.

The exhibition presents Novgorod magazines of the 1920s from the rare fund of the department. These are party and socio-political publications: the “Krasnoye Znamya”, “Leninets”, “Enlightenment and Culture” and “Novgorod Veche”, literary and artistic almanac “Nachalo”. All of them fully reflect the peculiarities of time, breaking old foundations and building a "bright future". According to researchers, the 1920s - the years of the NEP - were a period of some liberalization of the country's life and the time of the formation of one-party journalism.
