A collection of press reviews, extracts and clippings from the press was formed in the Ministry of the Interior from the materials of the General Directorate for Press (1906-1917); The Informative Bureau and the Foreign and Periodical Press Department, formed as part of the Main Directorate in 1906.
The collection also includes reports on periodic press reviews submitted to the emperors (1863-1894). The fund includes: reports of the Minister of the Interior Alexander II and Alexander III on the periodical press; Reports of the Informational Bureau of the General Directorate of Press Affairs for the Petersburg and Moscow press; clipping from periodicals; Periodical press reviews in foreign languages (by countries) for 1863-1917. Surveys of the periodical press in Russia and abroad (by countries) on military operations and peace for 1914-1917; cuttings from the newspaper "Bulletin of the Provisional Government" (March-October 1917) (Op. 2) |
