The coat of arms of the Chechen Republic is approved by the Law of the Chechen Republic of June 3, 2008, No. 23-RZ "On the State Emblem of the Chechen Republic."
The coat of arms of the Chechen Republic is a symbol of state sovereignty, reflects historical traditions, peculiarities of territory and living peoples. Linear and graphic construction of the composition of the emblem of the Chechen Republic is made on the basis of a circle in a two-dimensional plane. The color solution is based on four colors: red, yellow, blue and neutral white. In the inner part of the white circle a symbol of unity, eternity in the form of a national Chechen ornament painted in red is depicted. The stylized mountains, the historical Vainakh tower and the oil tower are painted blue. Composition solution is a square in a circle. The yellow ears of wheat on a blue background symmetrically frame the inner circle, symbolizing the wealth of the Chechen people. At the top of the ears crown a crescent and a star, painted in yellow, on a blue background. On the outer circle there is a red pattern from an ornament in the Chechen national style, on a yellow background.
