On April 10, 2012, the Presidential Library hosted events dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Prime Minister of Czarist Russia PA Stolypin. On this day, the solemn opening of the exhibition "The State Mood of the Soul" was held, and historians - experts in studying the legacy of PA Stolypin read lectures on the students' activity for the students. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Heritage Research Fund PA Stolypin, the Russian National Library, the Russian State Historical Archives and other institutions. President of the Stolypin Foundation, candidate of historical sciences P.A. Pozhigailo donated to the Presidential Library the scientific works of the fund specialists, issued during 13 years of its existence. In the videoconference mode, the audience was greeted by the director of the Volga Stolypin Institute DF Ayatskov. During the day, students of St. Petersburg universities received open lectures by specialists in the study of the legacy of Stolypin. The activities of the reformer, the significance of his ideas for the history of our country were told to students by PA Pozhigailo and the deputy head of the Department of Russian History at St. Petersburg State University, Doctor of History MF Florinsky. Students from Saratov joined the St. Petersburg students in a remote mode, while S. L. Merzlyakov, an associate professor of the history department of the Volga Institute, presented a report on Stolypin's activities as a Saratov governor.
