Representatives of Rossotrudnichestvo discussed the issues of education and promotion of the Russian language in Mongolia

A delegation led by the adviser to the head of Rossotrudnichestvo Dmitry Guzheli arrived in Ulaanbaatar. During the visit, a number of meetings were held, including Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Mongolia Iskander Azizov, rectors of the leading universities of Mongolia and heads of departments of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sport of Mongolia.

During the meeting with the pro-rector of the Mongolian State University (MGU) on research and international relations, Dr. Baldorzhin Ochirkhuyag it was discussed a wide range of issues related to the state of teaching Russian in Mongolia, the activities of the European Studies Department and the Lomonosov Center on the basis of the Moscow State University. During the conversation, the Mongolian side requested the organization of short-term internships and advanced training on the basis of Russian universities during the summer vacations of university professors in various groups of specialties. In addition, the parties discussed the possibility of participation of students and university teachers in joint expeditions with Russian universities, both in Mongolia and in Russia. It was agreed that in the near future, with the assistance of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Ulaanbaatar, the University would submit proposals to Rossotrudnichestvo on the intentions and prospects for resolving the issues raised above.

The delegation was also welcomed by the Rector of the Mongolian State University of Education (MSUO), Doctor of Science Dashdorzhin Mandah. During the meeting, Dmitry Guzhel spoke about the directions of Rossotrudnichestvo's activities and touched upon a number of areas in which the agency can assist. Among them - the organization of a regular sending to a year's training in the leading Russian pedagogical universities for training in the language environment of the students of the direction "Russian language teacher" of the 2nd course of the Moscow State University and etc.

The Russian delegation took part in the meeting of the Working Group of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in Mongolia to select foreign students for studying in Russia in 2018-2019 academic year, following which a number of decisions were taken to form the final list of candidates from Mongolia for subsequent referral to Moscow.

An electronic collection "Russian language" is presented on the Presidential library portal. It included manuscripts and publications of monuments of Russian writing, archival affairs, scientific works (including dissertations and abstract of a thesis), dictionaries and reference books, teaching aids. The digital collection "Russian language" will be cognitive not only to the scientific and educational society and linguists, but also to a wide range of users who love and appreciate the Russian language.
