The Cosmonautics Day was celebrated in the Presidential Library
April 12, 2018 the conference "Cosmonautics Day in the Presidential Library" was held. Cadets of the Mozhaysky Military-Space Academy, cadets of D. F. Ustinov the Baltic State Technical University "VOENMEKH", the St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation, representatives of the North-West Interregional Public Organization of the Federation cosmonautics and the Youth Public Organization "MIR" gathered together on the Senatskaya Square, 3.
Representatives of the N. K. Krupskaya Moscow Regional State Scientific Library, the V. Y. Shishkov Altai Regional Universal Scientific Library, the N. N. Muravyov-Amursky Amur Regional Scientific Library took an active part in the event via the video-conferencing mode; the Sakhalin Regional Universal Scientific Library; the Herzen Kirov Regional Universal Scientific Library; the Pushkin Omsk State Regional Scientific Library; the Pushkin Tomsk Regional Universal Scientific Library and others.
After demonstrating the shots of the launch of the “Soyuz-FG” rocket with the transport manned spacecraft “Soyuz MS-08”, which took place on March 21, 2018, the pilot-cosmonaut Hero of Russia P. V. Vinogradov greeted the audience; Fyodorov Pavel Viktorovich, Professor, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Chief Researcher of the Presidential Library and A. V. Kozyr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Physics of the Amur State University delivered their welcoming speeches.
The conference covered issues of K. E. Tsiolkovsky, the anniversary of the first edition of his book "Exploration of the world spaces with reactive devices" and about familiarization with the technical and scientific creativity of the young citizens of Kirov, where the famous scientist studied. There were reports of training for the “Vostochny” space center on the basis of the Amur State University, the 30th anniversary of the flight of the “Buran” spacecraft, the Cosmonautics Museum and the feat of Valentina Tereshkova. All these dates will be dedicated to a special "Gagarin’s Lesson" in 2018, - this was stated from the message provided by the "Y. A. Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center". They also talked about the achievements of the past and modern developments in the field of robotics to ensure future orbital and on-planet missions.
The total number of participants of the conference was about 1800 people from 42 regions of the Russian Federation, including those who took part in the video-conferencing mode or viewing live broadcast on the portal.
