The historical documentary "The Defeat of German Troops near Moscow" was viewed in Baku

A documentary film "The Defeat of German Troops near Moscow" was screened at the Russian Information and Cultural Center in Baku (Central Newsreel Studio, 1942).

Before the screening, the audience was greeted by Elena Shishkalova, the main expert of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Azerbaijan. Anna Chapleeva, a student of the Baku Slavic University, presented the chronology of the battle.

The Battle for Moscow (September 30, 1941 - April 20, 1942) - one of the largest battles of the Second World War both in terms of the number of participants, and the area of ​​the territory at which it occurred. The significance of the battle is enormous: the Soviet Union was on the verge of an actual defeat, but thanks to the valor of the soldiers and the generals' generals talent, the battle for Moscow was won, and the myth of the invincibility of the German troops was destroyed. During the battle, the German troops suffered a tangible defeat. As a result of the counteroffensive and the general offensive, they were thrown back to 100-250 km. Tula, Ryazan and Moscow regions, many districts of the Kalinin, Smolensk and Orel regions were completely liberated.

Students, schoolchildren, representatives of compatriots' organizations took part in the screening.
