The issues of legal regulation in electronic space were discussed in the Presidential Library
April 20, 2018, the VIII Annual Scientific and Practical Conference "Law and Information: Issues of Theory and Practice" was held in the Presidential Library within the framework of the Legal Forum.
In his welcoming speech, the Director General of the Presidential Library Alexander Vershinin noted that the topic of the conference, which this year is devoted to legal regulation in the electronic environment, is especially relevant. "Today there are many normative acts that are not always consistent with the current legislation", - Alexander Vershinin said. "The events of the Legal Forum are designed to help advance the legal science in the field of modern information technologies".
"It is very important that the focus of your attention is on the legal regulation of the digital economy. The creation of a modern and effective legislation in this sphere is today an unconditional priority of the state", - said State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin in his address to the participants of the event. He also noted that the scientific and practical conference "Law and Information: Issues of Theory and Practice" for its time has established itself as an authoritative platform in the issues of legal regulation of the electronic environment, uniting leading Russian and foreign lawyers, economists, scholars of state power, education and culture.
The conference considered issues of information law theory, improvement of information legislation, provision of access to legal information, information protection, legal regulation in the field of information technologies, mass media, development of e-government, digital economy, a single Russian electronic knowledge space, legislation on librarianship, as well as the 20-year activity of legal information centers.
Within the framework of the event, a round table "Formation and Preservation of Information in the Electronic Environment: Law Enforcement Issues", session sessions "Electronic Government: New Technologies for State-Citizen Interaction in Law Enforcement Practices", "Digital Economy: New Legal Phenomena and Contexts", "Public Centers of legal information: 20 years of work and new formats of activities" will take place. In addition, there was held a multimedia exhibition "Program "Electronic Government" in Russia".
Legal topics are one of the priorities of the Presidential Library. In particular, such electronic collections as the "Legal State of Russia. History and Modernity", "Law and Information: Modern Studies", "Legal Regulation of Media Activities" and others are formed and are available free on the portal of the library.
