The Presidential Library: Children Draw Football

The Presidential Library has digitized a collection of children's drawings devoted to football. The works were provided by the City Center for Medical Prevention, which held a drawing contest for pupils of art schools of the state educational institutions of the additional education of children of St. Petersburg "Football is My Favorite Sport". The contest was supported by the Health Committee, the Committee for Education and the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports and is included in the plan of events dedicated to the holding of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in St. Petersburg.

The contest’s final included 86 works implemented by pupils of 24 art studios of houses and palaces of children's creativity in various techniques: graphics, gel pens, ink, pen, gouache, watercolor, pencil, wax crayons, pastel, linocut, marker, felt-pens.

38 best works were given to the Presidential Library for digitization and subsequent posting on its portal. It seems that they will add bright colors to the collection on the history of football, which the Presidential Library plans to create at the beginning of the World Cup, because children draw familiar from childhood game not trivial and temperamental. Name but a few the "Goalkeeper" by Yaroslava Smirnova, frozen in a jump on the diagonal gate; "Tsentrforvard" Shirin Agayeva at the time of the ball or work of Daniil Somov "Zenith Forever", which depicts a fan in a scarf and a baseball cap with the symbols of the St. Petersburg football club ...

After summing up the results in the City Center for Medical Prevention at Italianskaya, 25, the opening of the exhibition of the best works took place, the winners, prize-winners and participants of the 2nd stage of the contest were awarded. All children were presented gifts and diplomas of participants and winners of this creative contest.
