City Ecological Marathon - 2018 "The Yunnat Movement in Russia"

May 23, 2018 the Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Scientific Library hosted the ceremonial closing of the city ecological marathon - 2018 "The Yunnat Movement in Russia".

The organizers of the event are "Children's Environmental Center in Chelyabinsk" and Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Scientific Library.

Today, young people observe natural phenomena, hold extensive experimental and research work, actively participate in environmental actions, conferences and competitions. Leading areas are improving approaches to environmental education and training, improving the quality of education institutions of additional environmental and naturalistic education in Russia.

More than 80 children of different ages have become prize-awardees of city contests "The Amazing World of Nature", ecological fashion "EcoBUM", "Green corners of the native city", scientific and practical conference "Man on Earth".

Director of the Moscow Children's Ecological Center of Chelyabinsk, expressed gratitude to the Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Scientific Library for assistance in organizing and holding ecological events for schoolchildren and donated a gift edition of the “Yashma belt of the Southern Urals” to the library.

The welcoming speech was delivered by the chief librarian of the Center for Legal and Business Information. She thanked the participants and organizers of the contest, wished further fruitful work and expressed hope for active cooperation. Employees of the center presented its resources and services, and also presented the regional center of the Presidential Library, operating on the basis of the Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Scientific Library.

Young participants were introduced to the special rubric "The Children's Website of the President of Russia tells of the Presidential Library". On the portal, schoolchildren of different ages can acquire in the game form knowledge about the history of the Russian state, the President of Russia of state symbols, the Constitution of the Russian Federation, constituent entities of the Russian Federation, federal districts, the state language, the Armed Forces of Russia and much more.

All interested persons have registered themselves in the electronic remote reading room of the Presidential Library.

On the website of the Presidential Library the Chelyabinsk region is represented by the collection: "Chelyabinsk region: Pages of History". The collection includes official and archival documents, studies, essays, statistical, graphic, cartographic and other materials covering the administrative structure, geographical location, demographic, economic, socio-political, socio-cultural and other aspects of the history of the Chelyabinsk region.
