Young winners of the contest "Football is my favorite kind of sport" visited the Presidential Library

The Presidential Library invited young winners of the contest "Football is my favorite kind of sport" for an excursion and the opening of an electronic exhibition of their works. The majority of the invited children - junior high school pupils - came to the Senatskaya Square, 3 accompanied by adults. Both of them were pleasantly amazed at how beautifully children's works on plasma screens in the galleries of the Presidential Library are demonstrated.

"Your digitized works will remain in the Presidential Library collections forever", - said Lyudmila Vintukhova, deputy director of the City Center for Medical Prevention, who conducted a drawing contest for pupils of art studios of the state educational institutions of the St. Petersburg children's additional education. "Football is my favorite kind of sport". - Our contest was supported by the Committee on Health, the Committee for Education and the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports and is included in the plan of events dedicated to the holding of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in St. Petersburg. It is a great honor for such beginning artists like you, - and we, adults, congratulate you on your first exposition and the fact that the works of the winners can always be viewed on the Presidential Library portal".

In the final of the contest, 86 works were taken by students of 24 art studios of houses and palaces of children's creativity in various techniques: graphics, gel pens, ink, pen, gouache, watercolor, pencil, wax crayons, pastel, linocut, marker, markers. The Presidential Library received 36 best works.

Second-grader Artemiy Anfinogenov from school № 43 came on an excursion to the Presidential Library with his grandmother, and told that he had been engaged in art studio at school for two years and was traveling with his father to the stadium to support “Zenit”. The fan was not difficult to draw a goalkeeper who prevented a goal.

Classes of fine arts for a graduate of school № 190 Daniil Somov have become a good springboard in terms of career guidance: after passing the USE, he plans to enter the architecture department of the State Architecture and Construction University. He considers football an intellectual game and has repeatedly attended matches on the field of the new "St. Petersburg Arena". And, of course, he has a brand-new blue-and-white “Zenit” scarf.
