The Russian Center for Science and Culture in Brest launched a retrospective screening of war films

The Russian Center for Science and Culture in Brest launched a retrospective screening of war films. More than two dozen modern, as well as filmed in the Soviet years films will be screened. They are the classics of the cinema: "The Dawns Here Are Quiet", "Immortal Garrison", "Ballad of a Soldier", "The Cranes Are Flying", "Ordinary Fascism", "Hot Snow", "Normandy - Niemen", "Fate of a Man". The films "Rubezh" and "Brest Fortress", filmed in recent years, are very popular among the audience.

"Another film can be chosen by an agreement. Our film library is quite extensive. In addition, we are ready to organize the show at a convenient time for the group, if it is not less than five people", - noted Elena Maslova, director of the RCSC. The auditorium of the RCSC is designed for 40 people and is open to all comers. Watching films is free and is usually organized once a day. First of all, film screenings are addressed to children and youth audiences - students of lyceums and schools, students.

The first audience were schoolchildren of primary school №19 in Brest. They watched with interest the film "Five Brave", and also unmistakably determined the location of the film in the vicinity of the Mir Castle.

Retrospective screening of war films in the RCSC is organized for the fourth time. Last year it was visited by about 500 people.

The Presidential Library portal features the electronic collection "Memory of the Great Victory". It includes official documents, photo and newsreels, wartime newspapers, books, agitation and propaganda publications, collections of articles, biographies, testimonies from participants in combat engagements and home front workers, their personal documents, images of combat and labor awards, monuments and memorials complexes, thoughts about the war of grandsons and great-grandchildren of veterans.
