Memorial tablet dedicated to celebrated actors in Chisinau

Chisinau hosted the opening of the memorial tablet dedicated to the famous Moldovan and Soviet actors of theater and cinema - national artists Konstantin Konstantinov and Yekaterina Kazimirova.

This event attracted many prominent cultural workers, leaders of public organizations and admirers of the oeuvre of famous actors. Among the guests of honor - the third President of the Republic of Moldova, Vladimir Voronin, adviser to the current President of the country, Corneliu Popovich. The solemn ceremony was attended by Mikhail Davydov, head of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Chisinau. In his greeting, the head of the RCSC congratulated the citizens on the landmark cultural event and noted the great contribution of the Konstantinov family to the promotion of Moldovan culture in Russia and in the world. The traditions of their love for art, history and the people of their country laid by them and continued by their children are an example for the younger generation.

People's Artists of Moldova Konstantin Konstantinov and Yekaterina Kazimirova deserve love and appreciation of the public, playing for many decades on the stage of the Pushkin Music and Drama Theater in Chisinau (now the Mihai Eminescu National Theater), filmed in various film studios of the Soviet Union. Their children (People's Artist of the Republic of Moldova Eleonora Konstantinovna and the well-known Russian and Moldovan sculptor Konstantin Konstantinovich) acted as initiators for perpetuating the memory of famous parents. Memorial plaque, installed on the facade of the house on the street Shchusev, 71, where since 1940 the family of artists have lived, is set up by their son.

The Presidential Library portal features electronic collection "To the Year of Russian Cinema". The collection, timed to the Year of Cinema in Russia, includes official documents, studies, various graphic materials (posters, postcards, etc.), revealing various aspects of the development of Russian cinema since the beginning of the XX century, as well as representing individual films and actors of Russian and Soviet cinema. The collection includes about six hundred documents
