
Press conference between organizers and participants of the Russian Cinema Festival in China was held at the RCSC in Beijing
Press conference was held at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Beijing, in the framework of which a delegation of Russian filmmakers met with representatives of Chinese and Russian media and introduced them to the festival program.
The press conference was attended by Russian filmmakers, including the actress of the film "The Duelist" Julia Hlynina, the composer of the film "Salute-7" Ivan Burlyaev, the screenwriter of the film "Laddish carp" Andrei Taratukhin, the composer of the films “Salyut-7” and “Nightguards" Dmitry Noskov, casting director of the film "Laddish carp" Elena Granovskaya, art director of the festival Julia Bragina.
At a meeting with media representatives, the press conference participants shared their impressions of China's visit with the audience, thanked the Chinese side for their warm welcome, talked about their work in films and creative plans. Speakers separately noted the similarity of the emotional perception of art and cinematographic works by Chinese and Russian audiences and the importance of cultural dialogue between the peoples of the two countries. Journalists from Russian and Chinese media were able to ask interesting questions, most of which were devoted to the opportunities and prospects for creative interaction between Russia and China, the creation of joint cinematographic projects. RCSC guests were also shown a report from the "Film Festival of the SCO Member States - 2018".

The festival of Russian cinema in China - 2018 will be held in Beijing and Wuhan from July 13 to 28, 2018. The project is implemented within the framework of international cultural cooperation in the field of cinema between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China, aims at strengthening bilateral relations in the field of cinema and continues to show Chinese viewers the multifaceted culture of Russia. The festival is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the State Administration for Press, Press, Broadcasting, Cinematography and Television of the PRC, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in China, the Cinema Foundation, the Russian Cultural Center in Beijing, the Chinese film archive, the production center "Kinofest". In the framework of the festival in Beijing and Wuhan, opening ceremonies, screenings of modern Russian films, meetings of Russian cinematographers with spectators and colleagues will be arranged.
The Presidential Library portal features electronic collection "To the Year of Russian Cinema". The collection, timed to the Year of Cinema in Russia, included official documents, studies, various graphic materials (posters, announcements, postcards and etc.), revealing various aspects of the development of Russian cinema since the beginning of the XX century, as well as representing individual films and actors of Russian and Soviet cinema.
