Evens of Russia will meet each other for the first time in Magadan

July 20-21, 2018, the Pushkin Magadan Regional Universal Research Library will be the main venue for the 5th Congress of the Evens of Russia.

The event coincides with the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the formation of the Magadan Region, as well as one of the oldest Even holidays - Bakildidyak, revived in 1992.

Traditionally thematic events will be devoted to the preservation of the native habitat, the native language and national identity of the indigenous peoples, the development of the natural-resource potential of the Arctic territories.

The website of the Presidential Library features the collection "Magadan Region: Pages of History". The proposed selection includes studies, statistical materials, archive documents, cartographic, visual and audio materials reflecting the geographical, socio-economic and political aspects of the history of the Magadan region of the XVIII-XX centuries, as well as the current Charter of the Magadan Region.
