
Summer science camp for children was held at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in London
The London School of Mathematics and Programming at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in London held a summer science camp for children aged 7-16 years. The main direction of the camp was an in-depth study of mathematics and programming using Russian educational methods.
Younger children in a game form were introduced to the concept of the algorithm and taught to write programs using basic algorithmic constructions on the example of the game "Who wants to become a millionaire in mathematics". Senior children mastered the programming of microcontrollers and mobile applications. The tasks on development and coding of own websites with animation, as well as other useful and entertaining tasks were accomplished.
The camp, like the school as a whole, is aimed at developing interest among schoolchildren to gain knowledge and research in the field of exact sciences and robotics.
The London School of Mathematics and Programming with the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office was founded in 2015. It gives regular classes in mathematics, programming and chess, international mathematical tournaments, workshops on interdisciplinary sciences, and technology camps for children. The school of mathematics and programming at the moment has three branches, it gives classes in Russian and English.
The Presidential Library portal features the collection "Russia-Britain: to the history of relationships". Relationships between Russia and Britain have always had a significant power on the course of world history. The studies, sketches, official documents and photographic materials presented in the collection introduce the history of the development of these relations from the XVI century to the mid-XX century. The selection also includes separate legislative acts of the two countries and materials on the history of the English church.
