The Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library completed the contest "Your History amidst the History of the Country"

August 22 the Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library, acting on the basis of the V. G. Belinsky Regional Universal Research Library, summed up the contest "Your History amidst the History of the Country".

Works for the contest were accepted during the summer. The idea of ​​the competition is associated with the book exhibition "The History of Russia from the XX to the XXI Centuries". To participate it was necessary to present a short story about historical events related to the subject matter of the exhibition and its role in them.

The participants were given letters of thanks and books about the architecture of the Urals. At the end of the meeting, the guests watched the documentary "Symbols of Presidential Power" by Tatyana Dyakonova (https://www.prlib.ru/item/445678), placed on the portal of the Presidential Library.

On the website of the Presidential Library, the Sverdlovsk Region is represented by the collection "Sverdlovsk Region: Pages of History". Statistical materials, studies, essays and photographs of the XIX - early XX century, introduce the geographical, demographic, socio-economic and socio-political aspects of the history of the Sverdlovsk region.
