25th anniversary of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University celebrated in Bishkek
The 25th anniversary of foundation of the Boris Yeltsin Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University was celebrated in Bishkek.
The exhibition “Innovative Achievements of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University” was opened in the hall of the main university building, while fifty best students were awarded Boris Yeltsin Foundation scholarships.
The ceremonial meeting marking the anniversary of the university was held in the T. Satylganov Kyrgyz State Philharmonic Hall. Naina Yeltsina - wife of the first President of the Russian Federation, Dosaly Esyenaliyev - Head of the Presidential Directorate of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Andrey Krutko - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kyrgyz Republic expressed congratulations on 25th anniversary of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
Pavel Shevtsov - Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, read the greetings of Eleonora Mitrofanova, Head of the Agency, and awarded the medal “For Consolidation of Peace, Friendship and Cooperation” to Vladimir Nifadyev, rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
“Suvenir” and “Kaukhar” ensembles, and artists of university studios gave musical and dance performances in the Philharmonic Hall.
The Remote Electronic Reading Room of the Presidential Library was opened in the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University on March 29, 2017.
The portal of the library provides access to Kirghizia: Geography, Ethnography, History” electronic collection. It features studies, essays, archival materials and maps of 19th ‒ early 20th c., which shed light on the period when Kirghizia had been a part of the Russian state.
