Multimedia lessons dedicated to S. M. Prokudin-Gorsky held in the V. Y. Shishkov Altai Regional Research Library

Altai Regional Center of the Presidential Library, running on the basis of the V. Y. Shishkov Altai Regional Research Library, since the beginning of October, provided a series of multimedia lessons for students of the Altai Territory dedicated to the founder of the color Russian photography S. M. Prokudin-Gorsky. The lessons were held in various formats: on the platforms of general educational organizations and remotely via video conferencing mode. In total, nine educational lessons were held which were attended by 201 people.

The lesson was prepared on the basis of the electronic collection “S. M. Prokudin-Gorsky (1863–1944)” from the Presidential Library collections. The materials of the articles by S. P. Garanina, who is Prokudin-Gorsky scholar, the notes of the Imperial Russian Technical Society, as well as works from the master collection “Sights of Russia” were demonstrated during the lesson. The multimedia lesson was supplemented by the documentary film “The Color of Time”, dedicated to the life and work of the great photo artist.

The Presidential Library portal features electronic collection “Altai Territory: Pages of History”. The selection includes studies, essays, reviews and reports reflecting various aspects (geographic, socio-economic, socio-political and other) of the history of the Altai Territory from the end of the 19th to the first third of the 20th centuries.
