International Youth Patriotic Camp keeps running in Brest

Schoolchildren from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yalta, Sochi, Minsk, Brest and other cities of Russia and Belarus have become participants of the new shift of the international youth patriotic camp that was launched on October 29, 2018. The project takes place directly in the Brest Fortress.

The guys are immersed in a series of events of a fascinating historical adventure, where they need to solve many reconnaissance tasks, undergo special fire, educational and tactical training in the catacombs of the Brest Fortress, visit all its military-historical museums and defences.

The Russian Center of Science and Culture in Brest is a regular partner of the project and it traditionally welcomes participants of the shift, tells about its activities, invites to the RCSC. The objectives of the camp are aimed at patriotic education of the younger generation and countering the falsification of the history of the Great Patriotic War.

The Presidential Library’s portal provides access to the collection “Memory of the Great Victory”, which includes official documents, photo and newsreels, wartime newspapers, books, propaganda articles, collections of articles, biographies, testimonies of combatants and workers. home front, their personal documents, images of military and labor awards, monuments and memorial complexes.
