Rustam Huseynov impressed Bakuvians with his exhibition

November 1 at the Russian Information and Cultural Center in Baku was opened a personal exhibition of the writer and photographer Rustam Huseynov. Last year, he presented his work in Perm Territory called "The Heart of the Urals". This time the new exhibition “Between Europe and Asia” is dedicated to Orenburg Region. The exhibition includes photographs taken by Huseynov during his participation in the Eurasia International Youth Educational Forum held in Orenburg. As part of the New Generation Rossotrudnichestvo program, a delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan participated in the forum.

The exhibition was opened by Alexander Kalamin, Deputy Head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Azerbaijan.

Rustam Huseynov noted: “The city of Orenburg is unique. The historical center, in particular the wooden quarter buildings and monuments, is closely associated with the life and work of Alexander Pushkin, Taras Shevchenko, Alexey Pleshcheev, has been well preserved here. In addition, a graduate of the Orenburg Flight School is the first cosmonaut of the Earth, Yuri Gagarin. Orenburg is the geographical border between Europe and Asia”.

Among the guests of the exhibition were the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of Mexico to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Rodrigo Labardini, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Onno Kervers, representatives of the diplomatic corps of a number of other countries, organizations of Russian compatriots living in Azerbaijan, photo lovers and professional photographers.

The Presidential Library portal features the electronic collection “Orenburg Region: Pages of History”. The selection includes studies, archival documents, photographs, maps and plans that reveal the geographical, socio-economic, socio-political and other aspects of the history of the region of the period XIII - early XX century. The Charter of Orenburg Region is also presented.
