Open lesson "Aristocrat of the Word" held in Baku
On November 15, 2018, the open lesson “Aristocrat of the Word”, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Russian literature classic Ivan Sergeyevich Turgenev, was held within the framework of the Literary Drawing Room in the Russian Information and Cultural Center in Baku.
Pupils of the 8-9 grades of the lyceum school №20 in Baku presented thematic multimedia presentations, read poems and excerpts from the writer's works, and the teacher of the Russian language and literature Gulshan Aliyeva spoke about the peculiarities of Turgenev’s work and his influence on writers in Russia as well and abroad.
The Presidential Library portal presents “I. S. Turgenev (1818–1883)” electronic collection. The collection dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of the classic Russian literature, prose writer and poet, playwright, translator, publicist, includes digital copies of books, articles from periodicals, archival documents and visual materials about the life and work of the writer.
