Resource book "The Russian Language Map in Turkey" presented in Ankara

The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Turkey hosted a presentation of the resource book “The Russian Language Map in Turkey” prepared by the Association of Slavic Teachers and Translators of Turkey on the initiative and with the support of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Ankara. The event was organized in the framework of the solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the IV All-Turkish Olympiad in the Russian language.

The main goal of the project is to systematize information about Turkish educational institutions where Russian language is studied.

Representatives of universities, heads of departments and departments of the Russian language from different cities of Turkey, who arrived in Ankara with their students - finalists of the Olympiad in the Russian language, were given the first copies of the information directory. In the near future it is planned to publish its electronic version, which will be further supplemented as the geography of studying Russian language in Turkey expands.

The Russian Language electronic collection is available on the Presidential Library’s portal. It includes manuscripts and publications of monuments of Russian literature, archival files, research papers (including abstracts and dissertation abstracts), dictionaries and reference books, and teaching aids. The collection will be of interest not only to specialists in the field of linguistics, but also to a wide range of users who love and appreciate the Russian language.
