Premiere screening of films by young filmmakers held at the Presidential Library
Arthouse, video poetry, social advertising - young filmmakers presented their narrative shorts in these and other genres at the Presidential Library as part of the XXIII Green Vision International Ecological Film Festival, which takes place in St. Petersburg from November 20 to 23, 2018.
“To begin with, we start watching films, I want to congratulate everyone on the premiere - with such words the director, screenwriter, producer, teacher, and Director General of the Giraffe Film Studio Olga Shulgina opened the event. “For many years we have been screening films from the Green Vision competition program of the film festival at the Presidential Library, but in 2018 we decided to arrange this premiere for the first time here - this space seems very suitable for such an event”. Olga Shulgina also noted: “It may seem that environmental problems for adolescents and young children are not paramount, but this year the film festival features 38 films created by young cinematographers at the film festival - an absolute factor is that our children are also worried about the future” .
A boy who went on a one-man protest in defence of trees, a teenager who has gone into virtual reality and lost contact with the present, people who destroy the world created by God for their needs, schoolchildren who expose corporate deception, who will sooner or later destroy plants and animals, - each film provoked a storm of applause and was accompanied by a lively discussion. The guys answered numerous questions, told the guests of the Presidential Library’s Cinema Club about how the ideas of the films emerged, how and where they were created
