The Presidential Library will host a series of special projects marking the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

One of them starts on December 11, 2018. In Moscow, the Presidential Library will present more than 100 unique materials at the State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia within the framework of the exhibition “The Constitution of My Country”. These are documents relating to the history of the creation of the Basic Law of the country in 1993 and the state symbols of Russia. It should be noted that the authors of the current Constitution, Mikhail Mityukov, Tamara Morshchakova, Oleg Rumyantsev, Mikhail Fedotov, Sergey Filatov, Sergey Shakhray, were directly involved in the preparation of the exhibition.

Another significant event is organized by the Presidential Library in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Basic Law of our country on December 12, 2018. An exhibition of one exhibit will open its doors in the largest cultural and educational center "Zaryadie" in Moscow. It will feature the only digital copy of the inaugural copy of the Basic Law, presented to the library by the President of Russia.

Importantly that the history of the main document of Russia is one of the most important focus areas of the Presidential Library. Multimedia lessons, video lectures, conferences and tours dedicated to the formation of the statehood of our country and its people are regularly held in St. Petersburg, in the building at Senate Square, 3.

More information about the development of the Constitution is available on the Presidential Library’s portal - in the Electronic Museum of the Constitutional History of Russia. Its collections include video and audio recordings, photographs, digital copies of archival documents, studies, three-dimensional images of authentic artifacts from the XVIII century to the present day.

In addition, the portal provides access to the extensive collections of the Constitution - the Basic Law and the Constitution of the Russian Federation. They contain materials from the Archive of the President, the Library of the Presidential Administration, the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, as well as rare documents from a private collection.
