Residents of the city district Bogdanovich in Sverdlovsk Region got access to the Presidential Library’s resources

On December 10, the virtual reading room of the Presidential Library was opened in the Central District Library of the city district Bogdanovich (Sverdlovsk Region).

Marina Sidorova, Head of the Culture Department, Tatyana Vladimirovna Valova, Director of the Centralized Library System, and Head of the Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library, running on the basis of the V. G. Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Research Library, Anastasia Vasilievna Rusina. She handed the director of the CBS a symbolic "key" to information resources.

The opening of the remote electronic reading room is a landmark event for the city district. According to Natalia Ryabenko, chief bibliographer, the electronic reading room will be useful for educators, students and schoolchildren:

“Teachers of Bogdanovich will have the opportunity to give lessons in a new format - using objective, reliable information presented in both the digital and multimedia space of the Presidential Library”, - said Natalia Ilyinichna.

The first readers were students of the Bogdanovich Polytechnic and high school students.

The Presidential Library and Sverdlovsk Region have been cooperating since 2013. On the website of the Presidential Library, the region is represented by the collection “Sverdlovsk Region: Pages of History”. It contains electronic copies of studies, essays and photographs of the XIX - early XX centuries. The materials introduce the geographical, demographic, socio-economic and socio-political aspects of the history of the region.
