A solemn summing up of the contest "Constitution through the Eyes of Young People" took place in Chelyabinsk

The Constitution of the Russian Federation marks its 25^th anniversary. On the eve of this date the Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Research Library hosted a solemn summing up of the contest "Constitution through the Eyes of Young People".

In September 2018, the city competition of research and creative works "Constitution through the Eyes of Young People" was announced, organized by the Center for Legal and Business Information of the Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Research Library and the Prosecutor's Office of Chelyabinsk Region.

According to the nominations, more than 60 works were submitted for the participation, 14 of them are research ones, 12 social videos and 37 posters and drawings. 85 contestants - students of universities and colleges, as well as students of general educational institutions - were able to submit their work for the evaluation of the jury.

The works in the nomination “Research work” were evaluated by employees of the prosecutor’s office of Chelyabinsk Region, who became guests at the ceremonial conclusion of the competition. The nomination “Poster / drawing” was evaluated by artists and designers of the NANU, and the nomination “Social video” was awarded by a professional director.

All participants received awards. The prosecutors personally thanked everyone, and also awarded diplomas for their active participation and memorable souvenirs from the CRURL.

Natalya Pavlova, a specialist at the Chelyabinsk Regional Center for Access to the Resources of the Presidential Library, introduced the guests and participants of the event a virtual exhibition based on the resources of the Presidential Library. It includes the history of the constitutional structure of Russia. The exhibition featured exposition materials from the Presidential Library, starting with the draft constitutions of Mikhail Speransky, Nikita Muravyov, Pavel Pestel.

Participants of the event tested their knowledge of the history of the creation of the Constitution of the Russian Federation. It was held a quiz for them. Test questions were based on the resources of the Presidential Library.

On the website of the Presidential Library, Chelyabinsk Region is represented by “Chelyabinsk Region: Pages of History”. collection. The selection includes digital copies of studies, essays, archival documents, statistical materials, photographs and sound recordings covering geographical, demographic, socio-economic, socio-political and other aspects of the history of the region, mainly the first third of the 20^th century.
