The exhibition "Friendship of Russia and Azerbaijan from generation to generation" in Baku

The art exhibition “Friendship of Russia and Azerbaijan from generation to generation”, organized by the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan and the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the republic was opened in the Russian Information and Cultural Center in Baku (RICC).

The exhibition features more than 150 works by authors of different generations. The plots of the paintings are based on the landscapes of nature in Russia and Azerbaijan. Many works are devoted to events from a common history and outstanding people of the two countries.

The guests of the exhibition were welcomed by the head of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Azerbaijan, Valentin Denisov, and a member of the Artists' Union of Azerbaijan, Islam Gulmamedov.

The participants were awarded diplomas of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan and the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo. Famous jazzman, Honored Art Worker of Azerbaijan Javan Zeynalli pleased the audience with their virtuoso performance.

On the portal of the Presidential Library, anyone can get familiar with the electronic collection "Russia - Azerbaijan: Pages of a General History". Most of the materials are archival documents illustrating various aspects of the policy of the Russian Empire in relation to the Baku province at the beginning of the 20th century. Diplomatic, military, transport, industrial, economic, educational, religious and other issues of the joint history of the peoples of Azerbaijan and Russia are also covered.
