The regional center of the Presidential Library in Chelyabinsk Region held an open lesson "The main law of the country"

December 12, 2018, the regional center of the Presidential Library, running on the basis of the Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Research Library, initiated a series of activities for high school students in the central libraries of Chelyabinsk Region, which include remote electronic reading rooms of the Presidential Library (Satka and Nyazepetrovsk, settlements of Oktyabrsky and Uysky) .

There were organized lessons with watching a video lecture dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Russian Federation. The video lecture was given by the absolute winner of the All-Russian competition “Teacher of the Year of Russia - 2017” Ilya Demakov. The teacher told the Presidential Library about the history of the emergence of various constitutions, the essence of constitutionalism, and how important it is to comply with the laws of his country.

In addition, the library specialist held for attendees a virtual tour of the Presidential Library's Constitution Hall, where materials reflecting the history of the creation and adoption of the Constitution of the Russian Federation are presented.

More than 300 people took part in the events dedicated to the Constitution Day in Chelyabinsk Region.

On the website of the Presidential Library, Chelyabinsk Region is represented by the collection “Chelyabinsk Region: Pages of History”. The selection includes digital copies of studies, essays, archival records, statistical materials, photographs and sound recordings covering geographical, demographic, socio-economic, socio-political and other aspects of the history of the region, mainly the first third of the XX century.
