A big concert of creative studios and a New Year's performance took place in the Russian Cultural and Information Center in Sofia

The Russian Cultural and Information Center in Sofia hosted a big concert of RCIC studios and a New Year’s performance for the students of the center. Every year this holiday sums up the large project “RCIC for Children”, in which Sunday school, circles, studios, workshops, readings in Russian, meetings with children's writers, themed matinees are taking place.

The participants of the concert were the studio "Domisolka", the ballet school "Sylphs", the studio of the Russian language, the dance ensemble "Phoenix", the studio "Young Artist". The special attention was attracted by the performance of the new collective of the RCIC - the gymnastics studio under the direction of Alena and Yekaterina Lobacheva.

After the concert, Father Frost and Snow Maiden continued the festive performance, which offered the children to take part in various competitions.

The Presidential Library’s portal provides access to the electronic collection “New Year and Christmas in Russia”. The collection includes the main laws and studies related to these winter holidays, their description in historical sources, award sheets, greeting letters, ancient and modern calendars, pre-revolutionary and Soviet postcards.
