The opening of the center of remote access to information resources of the Presidential Library held in Altai Territory

December 19, 2018 Altai Territory hosted the grand opening of a remote electronic reading room with access to information resources of the Presidential Library based on the I. L. Shumilov Pavlovsk Intersettlement Model Library. The remote electronic reading room has been opened in the framework of the Cooperation Agreement, which was concluded between the Presidential Library and the Library and Museum Center of the Pavlovsk District of Altai Territory in October 2018.

At the opening, wide possibilities of working with a unique resource of the national electronic fund on the history of Russian statehood were demonstrated. Head of the Pavlovsk District A. V. Voronov emphasized how important and promising the cooperation with the Presidential Library is.

The chief specialist of the Ministry of Culture of Altai Territory E. N. Babiy noted that the opening of remote electronic reading room of the Presidential Library in Altai Territory is taking place as part of a program to create and develop a network of remote electronic reading rooms with access to information resources of the Presidential Library in the public libraries of the Altai Territory in the period until 2023.

On the website of the Presidential Library, Altai Territory is represented by the “Altai Territory: Pages of History” collection. The proposed collection includes studies, essays, reviews and reports reflecting various aspects (geographic, socio-economic, socio-political) of the history of the region from the end of the XIX to the first third of the XX centuries, as well as the current Charter of Altai Territory.
