26 December 2018

The Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library, running on the basis of the Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Research Library, is hosting the book-multimedia exhibition "900 days of courage", dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the lifting of the blockade of Leningrad. It will run until February 11, 2019.

Poems of the besieged poetess Olga Bergholz, diaries of residents of the besieged city are full of pain and fear, bitterness from irreplaceable losses. But above all this - immeasurable, undying hope, kindness, humanity, quivering and unshakable love, which overcomes everything.

The exhibition consists of several sections. Separate collections of literature from the Belinsky foundations are devoted to the children of the blockade, the road of life, culture and other topics.

The feature of the exhibition is its interactivity and multi-format: not only books and magazines are presented here, but also artistic posters of the depository center of the Belinsky library, as well as materials of the Presidential Library. Films about the blockade are constantly shown on the big screen; anyone can examine documents from the collection "Defence and blockade of Leningrad".

The Presidential Library and Sverdlovsk Region have been cooperating since 2013. On the website of the Presidential Library, the region is represented by the collection “Sverdlovsk region: Pages of History”. It contains electronic copies of studies, essays and photographs of the XIX - early XX century. The materials introduce the geographical, demographic, socio-economic and socio-political aspects of the history of the region.
