At once two centers of remote access to information resources of the Presidential Library opened in Altai Territory

On December 21, 2018, the grand opening of remote electronic reading rooms with access to information resources of the Presidential Library on the basis of the Central City Model Library of Slavgorod and Staroaleiskaya Central Library of the Tretyakovsky District took place in Altai Territory. Remote electronic reading rooms were established under the Cooperation Agreement concluded between the Presidential Library and the Central Administrative Library System of the City of Slavgorod in September 2018, as well as between the Presidential Library and the Multifunctional Cultural Center of the Tretyakovsky District of Altai Territory in October 2018 of the year.

At the opening, congratulations were made by O. V. Kovalenko, Chairman of the Culture and Youth Policy Committee of the Slavgorod District Administration, T. P. Astakhova, Head of the Culture and Youth Policy Department of the Tretyakov District Administration, N. V. Lemke, representative of the Slavgorod Branch of United Russia as well as the first deputy head of the Tretyakov District, A. V. Zhdanov. The latter noted that the opening of the remote electronic reading room is a new stage in the development of the library, and for the residents of the area - new opportunities for obtaining information.

Remote electronic reading rooms are opened as part of the regional project “Presidential Library in Altai”, which is supervised by the Ministry of Culture of Altai Territory.

At the opening, the capabilities of the Presidential Library portal were demonstrated. The library directors presented various electronic collections from the Presidential Library.

On the website of the Presidential Library, the region is represented by Altai Territory: Pages of History collection. It includes studies, essays, reviews and reports reflecting various aspects (geographic, socio-economic, socio-political, etc.) of the history of the region from the end of the XIX to the first third of the XX centuries, as well as the current Charter of Altai Territory.
