The Russian Center of Science and Culture presented the New Year’s fairy tale to the residents of Hanoi

9 January 2019

Celebrating New Year's theatrical and circus performance for children of preschool age, Vietnamese schoolchildren and students studying Russian, has become an annual good tradition of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Hanoi.

The Central Circus hosted New Year’s festivities: the staff of the RCSC in Hanoi prepared an exciting and rich program for children based on the Three Little Pigs fairy tale. Characters in anticipation of the main characters - Santa Claus and Snow Maiden - conducted a quiz for children on the knowledge of the traditions of celebrating the New Year in Russia. The guys who answered the questions correctly received New Year prizes.

The audience saw performances of professional circus artists, laureates of international competitions, including jugglers, clowns, gymnasts. The numbers with trained cats, dogs, pigs and an elephant caused particular delight in the small audience.

More than 1,200 people took part in the celebration.

The Presidential Library’s portal features e-collection “New Year and Christmas in Russia”. The collection includes the main laws and studies related to these winter holidays, their description in historical sources, award sheets, greeting letters, ancient and modern calendars, pre-revolutionary and Soviet postcards.
