The exhibition "Theater Chelyabinsk" presented in the Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Research Library

The exposition dedicated to the Year of Theater in Russia was opened in the regional center of the Presidential Library, running on the basis of the Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Research Library. The exhibition presents monographs, bibliographic indexes, textbooks, conference materials and seminars on the history of the theater. They introduce the types and genres of theatrical art, the theatrical life of the Southern Urals from the moment of the appearance of the first theater to the present day.

A significant part of the exhibition consists of information materials about the rarities of the Presidential Library, as well as booklets of the leading theaters of Chelyabinsk, the performances of which were awarded prizes of the Russian and international level.

The center of the exposition is the anniversary album of the Glinka Chelyabinsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater (2016). The reader will be available the history of the construction of the theater building and the poster of the performances of the first theatrical season of 1956/57. The publication is illustrated with photographs of scenes from the most brilliant operas and ballet performances, including the names of artists, conductors, artists, choreographers who served in the theater in different years. Particular attention is paid to the performances shown at the festival of professional theaters of Chelyabinsk Region "Scene" and at the National Theater Festival "Golden Mask".

On the website of the Presidential Library, Chelyabinsk Region is represented by the collection “Chelyabinsk Region: Pages of History”. The selection includes digital copies of studies, essays, archival documents, statistical materials, photographs and sound recordings covering geographical, demographic, socio-economic, socio-political and other aspects of the history of the region, mainly the first third of the XX century.
