The anniversary of Sverdlovsk Region celebrated in the regional center of the Presidential Library
The 85th anniversary of Sverdlovsk Region was celebrated at the regional center of the Presidential Library, running on the basis of the Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Research Library. On January 17, 2019, the presentation of the book “The Capital of the Urals. Historical Chronicles. 1723–2023” was held.
The publication prepared by Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Anatoly Kirillov together with Yekaterinburg-famous regional studies journalist Grigory Kayota, is supplemented with the Our Yekaterinburg DVD and completes a series of nine books on the history of Sverdlovsk Region and the capital of the region. Anatoly Kirillov told guests about the history of the creation of the book and answered questions of interest.
In the course of the event, the collection of the Presidential Library "Sverdlovsk Region: Pages of History" was presented. It consists of three sub-headings: "Power", "People", "Territory", includes statistical, cartographic and visual materials, as well as studies, essays and photographs of the XIX - early XX century. The list of materials in the collection includes 171 documents that present the reader the geographical, demographic, socio-economic and socio-political aspects of history, as well as the legal system and symbols of the government of Sverdlovsk Region. The collection is constantly updated with new documents.
The Presidential Library and Sverdlovsk Region have been cooperating since 2013.
