The Lermontov Penza Regional Library showcases "Penza Region - the glorious province of Russia" exhibition

On February 1, 2019 at the ceremonial event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Penza Region, the Lermontov Penza Regional Library presented the exhibition "Penza Region - glorious province of Russia".

The exhibition includes books on the history of the Sursky district, which depict the life and work of fellow countrymen who have done a lot for the socio-economic, scientific, cultural, sports development of Penza Region.

Part of exhibition is based on documents from the Presidential Library, where the region is represented by the collection “Penza Region: Pages of History”. It includes archival documents, essays, research and statistical materials covering demographic, geographical, socio-political and other aspects of the history of Penza Region of the late 18th - first third of the 20th centuries.
