The exhibition "Native Land: Known and Unknown" presented in the Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Research Library
February 6, 2019 marks 76 years since the founding of Kurgan Region. Marking this date the Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Research Library opened the exhibition "Native Land: Known and Unknown". The books and journal publications presented at the exhibition illustrate the brightest pages of the history of Kurgan Region, about the people who glorified the Trans-Urals.
Attendees of the library can get familiar with archival documents, memories of old-timers, records of local historians, which contain interesting facts about the history of villages and villages of Kurgan Region.
Part of the exhibition is the presentation of the collection "Kurgan Region: Pages of History", which is available on the Presidential Library’s portal. The collection includes studies, statistical essays, archival documents, cartographic and photographic materials of the XIX - early XXI centuries, describing the administrative, socio-economic, geographical location of Kurgan and Shadrinsk counties, the territory of which is the basis of modern Kurgan Region.
