The round table on Russian-Bulgarian diplomatic relations was held at the Russian Cultural and Information Center in Sofia

The Russian Cultural and Information Center in Sofia hosted a round table “Russian Diplomatic Services marking the Day of Diplomatic Worker in Bulgaria. The first RussianСonsul Alexander Davydov”, which has been organized by the Russian Sofia Club with the support of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Bulgaria.

Russian and Bulgarian diplomats, graduates of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Diplomatic Academy and other Russian higher education institutions took part in the discussion of the problems and prospects of Russian-Bulgarian relations.

The participants of the round table told about their diplomatic activity, about the history of relations between Russia and Bulgaria and the first Russian consul in Bulgaria, liberated during the Russian-Turkish War (1877–1878), Alexander Petrovich Davydov.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the electronic collection “Russia - Bulgaria: From the History of Relationship”, it includes official documents, archival files, studies and other materials highlighting the socio-political and cultural development of Bulgaria and certain issues of relations between the two countries in different historical periods.
