Penza Regional Center of the Presidential Library commemorates celebrated scientists

Specialists of the Penza Regional Center of access to the Presidential Library’s resources have staged a book exhibition timed to the anniversaries of scientists: Galileo Galilei, D. I. Mendeleev, Ch. Darwin, P. L. Kapitsa, I. P. Pavlov, A. Einstein, A. S. Popov.

The presentation of the exhibition in the Electronic Reading Room of the Lermontov Penza Regional Library was complemented by a display of books from the Presidential Library’s collections.

The exposition showcases resources focused on science in general, the life and work of famous scientists, and great discoveries. Each scientist is in the spotlight of an individual section.

“Penza Region: Pages of History” collection is available on the portal of the Presidential Library. It includes archival documents, essays, studies and statistics, which shed light on demographic, geographic, socio-economic, socio-political and other aspects of history of Penza Region from the late 18th c. until  the 1930s. The current statute of Penza Region is available, too.
