Event for high school students “Everything Around Mendeleev's Table” held at the Russian Cultural Center in Beijing

February 28, 2019 the Russian Cultural Center (RCC) in Beijing held an event "Everything Around Mendeleev’s Table", dedicated to the International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements and the Russian Science Day.

High school students at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the People's Republic of China, chemistry enthusiasts, answered the questions of the command quiz and showed a high level of knowledge. Then the guys became participants in an open video tutorial in chemistry, developed with the assistance of the Dmitri Mendeleev Russian Chemical Society and at the end of the event everyone was presented with souvenirs.

The Presidential Library’s portal features electronic collection “Dmitri Mendeleev (1834–1907)” dedicated to the 185th anniversary of the outstanding Russian chemist and thinker. The collection includes works of the scientist, correspondence, archival documents about his relatives, about scientific, pedagogical and social activities, research of the XX century about the scientific heritage of Dmitri Mendeleev, as well as visual materials.
