Tambov - Moscow - Simferopol - Krasnoyarsk: the results of the interregional webinar of the Presidential Library summed up

On February 28, 2019 an interregional webinar “Realize the duty, first of all, before God, then before the society and the state ...”, organized by the regional network of the Presidential Library, took place. The sites in Tambov, Simferopol, Moscow and Krasnoyarsk brought together representatives of the clergy, the medical community, scientists, students, cultural workers who supported the initiative of the people of Tambov to hold the event dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the beginning of archpastoral and medical ministry in the Tambov land of St. Luke (Voyno-Yasenetsky).

The webinar has become a continuation of the cycle of online forums “State and Religious Figures of the Russian Federation: Events, People, Facts” organized by the Tambov Regional Center of Access to Information Resources of the Presidential Library, which is running on the basis of the Pushkin Tambov Regional Universal Research Library. The event contributed to the exchange of experience of scientists and researchers, as well as encouraging the youth audience to study the legacy of the saint-surgeon.

In the framework of the session hearings, there were 10 presentations by lecturers from four regions of Russia, who talked about the archpastoral and surgical activities of the thinker, priest, doctor of medicine, professor surgeon St. Luke (Voyno-Yasenetsky) in Krasnoyarsk, Tambov, Simferopol.

On the website of the Presidential Library the region is represented by the collection “The Tambov Region: Pages of History”. The selection includes studies, statistical materials and archival documents of the late XVIII - early XX century, which characterize the administrative, economic, demographic, educational and religious position of the Tambov province. The collection also includes the current Charter of the region.
