Three centers of remote access to Presidential Library’s resources opened in Altai Territory

Remote electronic reading rooms have been recently opened in Altai Territory – in the Central Municipal Library of Biysk, the Soloneshensky Intersettlement Central Library and Altai Intersettlement District Library.

Representatives of administrations, cultural and educational institutions attended the ceremonial events. G. I. Zakharova - Deputy Head of Soloneshensky District Administration and K. Yu. Kosykh - Deputy Head of Altai District Administration delivered congratulatory speeches. A. G. Melikhova, Deputy Head of Biysk, the science city of Russia, stressed that the inauguration of the Remote Electronic Reading Room of the Presidential Library was the most important event for the city in the year of its 310th foundation anniversary.

Specialists of the newly-opened remote access centers introduced all attendees to the particular features of the unique resource and instructed them how to use it.

Remote electronic reading rooms are established as part of the regional project “Presidential Library in Altai”, which is supervised by the Ministry of Culture of Altai Territory.

The region is in the spotlight of “Altai Territory: Pages of History” collection, which includes studies, essays, reviews and reports, which cast light on various aspects (geographical, socio-economic, socio-political, etc.) of the history of Altai Territory in the late 19th – early 20th century, as well as the current statute of Altai Territory.
