Russian shift of military-patriotic camp opened in Brest

On the basis of the Youth Patriotic Center, located in the Brest Fortress, with the organizational support of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Brest (RCSC), on March 25, 2019, another shift started from Russia.

“Skill Camp” is a training project for children. A united team “Sturm” was formed of 12 people to participate in the event, which included guys from Moscow Region, St. Petersburg and Omsk.

Chief Specialist-Expert Roman Masan made a speech from the RCSC. He thanked Yury Starostin, Captain of the Airborne Force Reserve Captain and Methodist Pyotr Pitsko, branch manager of the EG “BOGTsMT” Youth Patriotic Center, for their support and assistance in implementing the idea and stressed that the children had a great honor and great responsibility to touch the history of the Great Patriotic War in such Heroic location like the Brest Fortress.

The extensive military application of the project, designed for young fighters, involves immersion in the cycle of events in which they will have to solve many problems, undergo special fire and tactical training, visit all the military-historical museums of the Brest Fortress and many defenses that are inaccessible to tourists.

On the Presidential Library portal, anyone can get familiar with the collection “Memory of the Great Victory”, which includes official documents, photo and newsreels, wartime newspapers, books, propaganda publications, collections of articles, biographies, testimonies of combatants and workers of the rear, their personal documents, images of military and labor awards, monuments and memorial complexes.
