The event marking centenary anniversary of the birth of Daniil Granin to be held in Sverdlovsk Region

On April 20, 2019, the Literary Brain Ring, dedicated to the centenary anniversary of the famous writer Daniil Granin, will take place in the Innovation Cultural Center in Pervouralsk.

Pupils of 8-11 grades of secondary schools and students of secondary vocational schools, including teams from cities of Russia, are invited to participate - they have the opportunity to connect to the event remotely via video-conferencing mode.

The materials of the Presidential Library, in particular, the electronic collection “Daniil Granin (1919–2017)” will help to get ready for the contest. The collection dedicated to the centenary anniversary of the classic of modern Russian literature includes official documents, texts of individual works, photographs and video materials reflecting the writer's public activities, as well as a documentary film based on the story of Daniil Granin about the past years, about the war, about the beginning of the writer's journey, about the heroes of our time - scientists.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection “Sverdlovsk Region: Pages of History”. It contains electronic copies of studies, essays and photographs of the XIX - early XX century. The materials introduce the geographical, demographic, socio-economic and socio-political aspects of the history of the region.
